It’s Sew Easy!

Have you always wanted to learn to sew? Get hands-on experience as you explore the world of sewing.

Learn the Tools

Join us in this basic sewing class and learn about sewing safety, basic sewing machine skills and stitching seams. To get started, register for the Basic Sewing: Introduction to the Sewing Machine and Patterns and Fabric classes to familiarize yourselves with the tools.

Use the Tools

Already learned the basics? Put your knowledge to use in the studio with project-based classes and Open Labs. The Adjustable Aprons and Gift Bags classes are perfect for beginner and intermediate sewing students. Take a look at the Basic Alterations series of classes to find out how you can put your skills to work in your closet.

Cosplay Help

Once you know how to use the sewing machine and patterns come in to our Open Lab: Ask a Tech Sewing Lab and get personalized help with your costume making! Let’s get creative together!

Add the Tech

No project is complete without a little bling. The DIY: Wearable Electronic Fashion class provides the skills you need to create a functioning electronic circuit on a custom fabric design. Learn about the inexpensive components and how you can sew your own wearable electronic fashions. A materials fee applies.
