  • When will the refreshed locations reopen?

    See the table below for closed and reopen dates. Location Closed Dates* South Creek Branch October 4-November 21 (Reopens November 22) * Projected dates; subject to change.

  • Will the book drop be open while the branch is being refreshed?

    The book drop will remain open at each location throughout the closures. Items may not be checked in on Saturdays or Sundays, so will be backdated on Mondays.

  • Where will my Books By Mail be delivered during the branch refresh?

    If you pick up your holds at a specific branch, please contact the Questline () to indicate whether you’d like to pick up your items at another branch or switch to home delivery during the course of your location’s closure.

  • Will the public WiFi still work while the branch is being refreshed?

    No, the WiFi will not be available during each location’s closure.

  • Where can I print, fax or copy while the branch is being refreshed?

    During each location’s closure, we invite you to visit another OCLS location for printing, faxing and copies until the location opens again. The locations below are closest: Hiawassee: West Oaks Branch and Genealogy Center, Washington Park, Winter Garden South Creek: South Trail, Southeast, and Southwest

  • Can I still use the bathroom while the branch is being refreshed?

    During the refresh projects each location will be closed to the public and their bathrooms will not be available. Upon opening again, the bathrooms will be available again and updated.

  • How will I get my books while you’re closed for a refresh?

    During each location’s closure, we invite you to visit another OCLS location until these branches reopen.   • How much will these branch refresh changes cost?

    Each branch is being enhanced as per the needs of the location. We strive to always be as cost effective as possible with all our projects. Our budgets are published annually in our financial reports published on our web page. View the Fiscal Year 2021 budget.

  • Why is this branch being refreshed, it looks fine to me?

    The selected branches are popular with our customers and heavily used. Each has been in the same location for at least twenty years and some sections are now worn and outdated. These branches will be enhanced and refreshed so that they can continue to meet customer needs in facilities that serve as welcoming, community-centric locations.
