Alafaya Branch 20th Anniversary

Alafaya Branch 20th Anniversary

Orange County Library System’s Alafaya Branch is excited to celebrate our 20th Anniversary on Saturday, February 1, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. You are invited to enjoy a day packed full of events and activities. Hear a story and mingle with visiting animals at Animal Storytime Presented by the Central Florida Fair, laugh out loud with the amazing Jiggleman and dance along to the rockin’ tunes of Mr. Harley. The fun doesn’t stop there! Throughout the day we will have a variety of activities including face painting, interactive experiences, crafts and more! Did I mention there will be cake? There will be cake!

Alafaya Branch originally opened in 1965 as one of the first branches of Orange County Library System. It has changed names and locations over the years but has continuously served the East Orange County area ever since. On February 1, 2000, the branch opened its doors at the current location.

We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of technology classes and events for the entire family. We have ESOL classes, storytimes, crafts, a book club, programs for tweens and teens just to name a few. Take a look at our monthly schedule and you will find fun and educational events daily.

Thank you for the many years of support and we look forward to serving our community for years to come. See you on Saturday, February 1!
